An Intimate Celebration in the Girona Countryside
Annika and Ryan’s wedding was one of those days that remind you why intimate destination weddings are so powerful. In the summer of 2025, they travelled across the ocean with their family and friends to the peaceful countryside of Spain to celebrate their love at the beautiful Max Huix — a calm and authentic venue surrounded by forests and nature.
Mas Huix is a traditional Catalan house dating back to the 11th century. It has been carefully restored to keep its original charm, offering a cozy and comfortable place to stay. This is a perfect spot for intimate celebrations, family gatherings, get-togethers with friends, business meetings, or retreats. Here, you can slow down, feel inspired, and enjoy special moments in a beautiful setting.
A Destination Wedding Surrounded by Nature
Max Huix offered the perfect setting for Annika and Ryan’s vision: a relaxed destination wedding immersed in nature. The venue is set in a unique location, surrounded by mountains and forests. It is private and offers stunning panoramic views from 560 meters above sea level.
Their families stayed together at the venue, turning the wedding into a multi-day experience filled with shared meals, laughter, and quiet moments before the big day. This closeness made the celebration even more special and personal.
Emotional Vows and True Connection
One of the most touching moments of the day was the ceremony, where Annika and Ryan exchanged deeply emotional vows that brought many guests, including me, to tears. Every word showed the love and respect they share, and their connection felt natural and real. There were no forced poses or staged emotions—just two people fully present with each other, surrounded by those they love.
The whole day was filled with warmth and joy, with laughter turning into tears and long hugs making time feel like it slowed down. One of the most heartfelt highlights was the father-daughter and mother-son dances. These quiet, sincere moments truly tell the story of a wedding day, and they are the memories Annika and Ryan will always treasure.
Ending the Night with a Pool Party
After the delicious dinner in the garden, which was provided by Bruno Catering's great team, the dance party started, and everyone’s mood shifted from emotional to joyful. The night finished in the best way, with laughter, music, and people jumping into the swimming pool one after another.
It was the perfect ending to a wedding that felt free, relaxed, and full of life, just like Annika and Ryan.
