Some places stay with you long after you’ve left. For me, La Baronia is one of them. I photographed my very first wedding there for Rubi & Özgür in September 2024 — and honestly, I’m already dreaming of the day I get to return!

When I arrived at Ruby and Özgür’s wedding in La Baronia, the very first thing that struck me was the light!

The wedding was in the middle of September (one of the best months for destination weddings in Barcelona), and throughout the day, I felt like I could photograph endlessly. The ceremony framed by the iconic façade, the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready on the grand staircase of the throne room, Ruby and Özgür sharing quiet moments in the main hall, guests celebrating in the courtyard, and, of course, the breathtaking golden hour on the balcony — each scene was filled with beauty and emotion.
